FAQ's

What do I bring?

While we will have worksheets & pens available, we encourage you to bring a favorite journal. Business cards or a way for people to connect with you after the event! You can bring your laptop, but we want to encourage you to stay OFFLINE throughout the day. Pen to paper does wonders! Plus..our devices are often distractions! Please see other sections on food, donations, etc.

What do I wear?

Ah, yes! The number one question we receive. You wear what the CEO of your business would wear! While there will be breaks for you to move around, you won't be standing for long periods of time or flipping into a pretzel at any point. Go ahead and wear those skyhigh heels if you want!

What's the food situation?

We are providing lite refreshments, coffee and tea in the morning and will have water available throughout the day. For lunch, you will have a selection of options based on the information you shared with us on the Event Form. Our caterer will be accommodating dietary requirements. In the afternoon, Gotta Make the Cupcakes is providing delicious desserts! If you have any favorite snacks or beverages, you are more than welcome to bring them.

What donations are you collecting?

We are collecting gently worn or new formal wear, business attire & accessories for The Dignity Closet! The Dignity Closet is a compassionate initiative under Changemaker, in partnership with YWCA and the Society for Successful Women, providing gently used business and formal wear, accessories, and shoes to individuals in need. Focused on fostering confidence and self-sufficiency, Dignity Closet empowers community members by offering access to professional attire for job interviews, formal events, and other opportunities where first impressions matter. Through dignity and support, Dignity Closet helps individuals present their best selves as they pursue new possibilities.

Where do I park?

Elegant Celebrations & Event Center

335 E Main Street, Collegeville

There is limited parking behind the venue accessible off East Third Ave.

Otherwise, there is free street parking in front of and near the venue.

Please see map at top of page.

We encourage you to carpool- it's more fun anyways!

Who do I contact with questions?

If you have any questions before the day of the event, please email valerie@thenurturingcollective.com. The day of the event, please text Lara at 267.616.2040. Lara is part of the event team and will be able to support you with any questions you have!

How do I set myself up for success?

This day is for you and the vision you have for your business & life!

First things first- block your entire day off since the workshop builds upon itself. To get the most from the day, plan on being there the entire time (8:30am-5pm). Secure childcare, set your email to "out of office" and reschedule any calls on your calendar. Minimize distractions by leaving your phone in your bag on silent & leaving your laptop at home.

Part of what creates the magic of events is YOU! In a world where we are often being pulled in a bazillion directions, one of the biggest gifts you can give to someone else is YOUR attention. And vice versa.
